challenge room 3
"Naughts and crosses that's what you'll do for challenge #7. There are three teams for this challenge. Annette and Daniel will be the 'o' (naughts) for Group 3. Larry will be the 'x' (crosses) for Group 3. You guys will compete against each other to win the challenge. Basically you have to get three of your symbols in a row. Vertically, horizontally, diagonally...three in a row. If the Naughts (john/tine & annette/daniel) win both games by making three in a row, then \$15 will be added to the jackpot. If Crosses (larry) wins either one of his games, then he will get an XX. Note that Larry only has to win one of his games, whereas both games must be won by Naughts to gain the money. Also be aware that it is possible that no one will come out of this challenge a winner. To win squares, you will have to answer trivia questions. The first team to get their respective question correct will get the space. If no one gets their question, the space goes null and no one gets it. Good luck." –cybermolehost

"Ahh... I'm all alone here. The cards are stacked against me here." –larry
"math space: Naughts Question: To four decimal places what does the number e equal? Crosses Question: What are the six trigonometric functions?" –cybermolehost
":gulp: I think. Math is not my thing. I had to rely on the Net. Cosine, tangent, cotangent, secant, cosecant, Sine" –larry
"correct. Larry is on his way to winning an XX. History space: Naughts Question: What is the name of the tomb where Generalissimo Franco is buried? Crosses Question: What is the name of the only Confederate soldier to be tried for war crimes after the civil war?" –cybermolehost
"I haven't even been around to try the questions. *shrug* At this rate, everything will be answered before I even get home tonight. Thanks." –annette
"Music: Naughts Question: At which theatre did La boheme have its world premiere? Crosses' Question: Who wrote the opera Aida? Film: Naughts Question: In which film stars an Academy Award Nominee for Best Actor who plays a meat dealer and also stars one of last year's presenters for Academy Award for Best Foreign Film? Crosses Question: Which French movie was at the top of the box office until Titanic pushed it off and since then has also been rewritten as an American movie?" –cybermolehost
"film: Giuseppe Verdi" –larry
"I meant to put Music Answer in the subject line. Since it didn't say that we had to put a certain thing in the subject line I still get credit for it right?" –larry
"film answer is incorrect" –cybermolehost
"Teatro Regio" –annette
"So wait- I had two answers that were not taken because of one post. Because my subject line was wrong I missed the film and Music even though I had my answers for both posted first? I'm DQed for the film and my music answer is also not accepted? Once again not b###hing or mad or anything, but I should have at the very least gotten to submit one. There was no rule about what had to be in the subject line. I would think that at leats if my answer was presented on the board (as the rules state) they should both be considered. I'm really not trying to be difficult honestly, but this is for alot. XX is at stake and I honestly think that I got both answers in by the rules that were stated." -larry
"naughts gain music space. Regarding the music answer: Larry, you still had another chance to answer the music question...but since none of the posts specifically gave another answer before naughts did...annette got hers in first." –cybermolehost
"LOL! Hey Annette are you disliking this challenge as much as I am? I think that I'm just as stressed as you are. LOL" –larry
"Yes, I am. I'm sitting here clicking Refresh, Refresh, Refresh - when I have things to do." –annette
